Officer Charlie Dibble {full name} is the name I choose as my pseudonym for music/mixing. It may seem strange, but I thought it was comical, as Officer Dibble was obviously always upholding the law and keeping everything on the straight and narrow with the inhabitants living in Hoagy's Alley. However, my take is that Officer Dibble got disillusioned with the Police and took to the road to 'find himself' and start a new life. On this journey Officer Dibble found dance music in all forms and this brought about a difference in him, a new view on the World and the music that holds it together like building blocks. With this he started amassing a wide and varied collection of music covering: House, Funk, Progressive, Trance, Hardhouse, D&B, bass line, speed garage, Happy Hardcore/Hardcore, Techno etc and with this he 'defected' away from his life and immersed himself in an underground culture of dance music and took on a new life for himself as a purveyor of fine and eclectic dance music. Personally, this is akin to my life, as a listener and (personally viewed) purveyor of fine dance music, I have listened to dance for over twenty-years of my life, encompassing all of the above stated music forms and many more such as pop, classical, synth, electro, rock and more. My whole life has been spent amassing music in many forms, but with a keen depth to the understanding and development of dance - taken back to the days of early synth and prog rock, such as: Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre, The Who, through to 80's electronic synth pop and into the furore of dance music and it's origins from Detroit, Chicago, Netherlands, UK etc. I also have a love of Jazz and Soul and the original Rhythm and Blues of Fats Domino, James Brown, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, John Coltrane, the list could go on. It is this love of music that I actually use in my life as a purpose of my own soul and I follow dance throughout it's genres and now the multiple sub genres that have come out in recent years, with dubstep/dubplate, originating from dub music, fidget, minimal-techno, the emergence of EDM and the progression of the technology used to develop, produce and mix/engineer the music also. So in closing, I think you can see why I have a love of this music, the dance scene being my favourite and the encompassing sounds that come from it. To this end, my pseudonym of 'Officer Dibble' or 'Dibble' for short is my comical take on a law abiding person, who upholds the right from wrong, then becoming disillusioned and finding the dance scene and defecting to that scene and immersing himself in the whole of that culture and it's depth. I therefore hope this gives you the understanding of my personal life, my comical sense and musical love for all aspects of music and in particular the dance scene.
